Dear Daughters,

It is my privilege to invite all of you to a Membership Appreciation Evening at the Elk's on our regular meeting night, Friday, June 13th at 6:30 for appetizers and  7:00 for dinner. Dinner will be catered by Remo's at $10/person. Cash bar as usual. Guests are welcome. We will be honoring 11 women for their length of membership and contribution to the betterment of our group. We will also award the long awaited Tara award that evening. The Knights are also honoring some of their members and will be joining our celebration.

Daughters who have been members for 25, 30, 35, 40, 45 and 50 years will be recognized. This evening is something that I would like to see happen every year. If it were not for the support, dedication, and commitment of all of you long-time members, there would be no present and no future. If you have been around  forever (or it feels that way) and your years of membership fall between the years mentioned, know that you are valued and that one day soon you also will receive this same recognition. This evening is intended to celebrate each other, to thank those who have faithfully served and to acknowledge that every member contributes to the strength of the group, both DOE and KOE. As they say in New Orleans at Mardi Gras: Let the good times roll!    ~Mara

Your prayers are requested for...Margie Muldowney, Maggie Gallagher, Ellen Toomey's sister and nephew, Terri Meyer (daughter of Mary Margaret Meyer) and JoAnne Freeman. Please also remember all of the DOE and KOE and their families, and the born and unborn.
